• Turn off the breaker, unplug and remove ALL SMALL ELECTRICAL DEVICES LOCATED ON WET CARPET.
• PLACE ALUMINIUM FOIL UNDER LEGS OF WOOD FURNITURE (ESPECIALLY ANTIQUES) THAT ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE WET CARPET.
• PLACE DRAPERIES ON COAT HANGERS AND HANG ON ROD.
• PIN UP UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE SKIRTS.
• REMOVE POTTED PLANTS IN CONTACT WITH WET CARPET.
• REMOVE BOOKS, SHOES, ALL PAPER GOODS (ESPECIALLY NEWS PAPERS) AND ALL ELSE THAT MAY STAIN THE CARPET . (CHECK UNDER BEDS AND IN CLOSETS).
• REMOVE ANY FURNITURE ITEMS YOU ARE ABLE, TO PREVENT RUST OR OTHER STAINS AND TO EXPEDITE RESTORATION WHEN TECHNICIANS ARRIVE.

• USE YOUR VACUUM.
• PLACE NEWSPAPER IN TRAFFICE AREAS TO WALK ON.
• WALK ON CARPET ANY MORE THAN NECESSARY.
